BUFT Holds Professional Development Training for New Faculty

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized a professional development training program for newly appointed faculty members of the fall 2026 semester on 29 September 2026. Prof. Dr. Mozahar Ali, former Advisor of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and former faculty member of GTI, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), and BSMRSTU, conducted the session as the resource person.

 

He shared practical insights on contemporary professional development, effective teaching and learning, formulation of learning outcomes, and the application of Bloom’s Taxonomy in academic practices. The training provided faculty members with an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of professional standards, outcome-based education (OBE), and the alignment of learning objectives, teaching strategies and assessment methods. Interactive discussions also enhanced participants’ understanding of the principles and application of OBE in higher education. IQAC, BUFT expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mozahar Ali and the participating faculty members for their valuable contributions and active participation in making the training program a meaningful learning experience.
