BUFT Team Wins National Championship at Hult Prize 2026

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) achieved a significant milestone in student entrepreneurship as Team DenimRevive from the Department of Textile Engineering won the National Championship at the prestigious Hult Prize 2026 on May 8, 2026. The team, consisting of Jahidul Islam (Batch 221), Nazmul Hasan (Batch 221), and Al Shahriar Neerab (Batch 222), secured the title with an innovative circular fashion solution that transforms denim waste into sustainable, high-value products. Their project addresses critical environmental challenges in the apparel industry through a scalable and impactful sustainability model. Competing against top student innovators from across Bangladesh, Team DenimRevive impressed judges with its vision, innovation, and commitment to sustainable entrepreneurship.

The achievement reflects BUFT's continued dedication to nurturing innovation, sustainability, and industry-focused leadership among its students. By winning the national title, the team has advanced to the next stage of the international Hult Prize competition, where they will represent both BUFT and Bangladesh on the global stage.
