BUFT and NTU Signs MoU to Strengthen Academic Cooperation

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) and National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad, Pakistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 9 July 2026 to formalize academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The virtual signing ceremony was held online from the Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting Room on the BUFT campus in Dhaka. The event marked the beginning of a formal partnership between the BUFT and the NTU.

Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, signed the agreement on behalf of the BUFT. Dr. Ahsan Nazir, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) signed on behalf of NTU. Prof. Engr. Dr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of BUFT, Prof. Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid, Chairperson of the Textile Engineering Department at NTU, along with BUFT faculty members and officials, were present at the event. The program commenced with the display of a promotional video showcasing BUFT. Following the video presentation, Prof. Engr. Dr. Ayub Nabi Khan delivered a welcome speech and highlighted the achievements of BUFT. The formal MoU signing ceremony then took place. After the signing, Dr. Ahsan Nazir delivered a speech virtually from Pakistan. Mr. Faruque Hassan, the Chief Guest and signing authority for BUFT, delivered the concluding address, bringing the program to a close.
